Our Sectors

We play a pivotal role in accelerating the energy transition to a low-carbon energy system and sustainable environment through the following services.

1. Renewable energies solutions

We develop and implement renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal power to reduce fossil fuel dependence and limit greenhouse gas emissions.

We also offer consulting services to businesses, organizations, and individuals to help them in the transition to renewable energy sources.

2. Energy efficiency consulting

We help companies and individuals navigate through their energy consumption, we offer energy optimization services and reduce energy consumption to limit carbon footprint.

We work towards making buildings, industrial processes, and transportation more energy-efficient.

3. Carbon offsetting / Carbon trading

We provide carbon trading services and offset solutions to businesses and individuals who wish to offset or compensate for their carbon footprint by investing in projects that avoid or remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.

We develop and manage carbon offset projects that generate verifiable and additional emission reductions or removals. This may involve projects related to renewable energy, afforestation, reforestation, clean cooking initiatives, CCUS, and other activities that contribute to emission reduction.

Clean cooking initiative

We promote and implement the clean cooking initiative. We offer services in the development of more efficient clean cooking stoves as alternatives to charcoal and wood for household cooking.

Our stoves have high burning efficiency and use clean fuels such as ethanol and LPG. Clean cooking stoves have many benefits including but not limited to greenhouse gas emissions reduction, ensuring indoor quality air and good health, and protecting our forests from deforestation in the hunt for charcoal and wood, etc.

1. Distribution of clean cooking stoves

We collaborate with governments, businesses, organizations, and other stakeholders to implement large-scale clean cooking stove programs. Oladgen Energies acts as a bridge and help in reaching a broader audience in urban and rural areas thus ensuring a more comprehensive and sustainable approach to using LPG, and bio-ethanol stoves.

2. Collaboration and partnership

5. Evaluation and Monitoring

We provide monitoring and evaluation services to assess the impact of clean cooking stove projects. This includes measuring the reductions of greenhouse gases, improving indoor air quality, positive health outcomes, and other social impacts.

6. Community engagement and participation

3. Education and awareness campaigns

We run awareness campaigns and educational programs for communities on the importance of using clean cooking stoves. This information includes but is not limited to GHG emissions reduction, improved air quality, health benefits, reduced stress on forests, impacts of climate change, and other economic advantages of adopting clean technologies.

4. Social entrepreneurship
We understand that the charcoal and wood business has employed thousands of people with whom the transition away from charcoal and wood will be challenging. Oladgen works closer with the local communities to support social entrepreneurs so that they can be empowered and create economic opportunities in alternative fuels and clean cooking stoves.

Forestry and Agriculture

We play a crucial role in building climate resilience and reducing the environmental impacts related to the agricultural sector by promoting sustainable forestry and agricultural practices

Transport sector

More than 16% of global greenhouse gas emissions are attributed to the transport sector. Oladgen works with partners to undertake various initiatives to reduce GHG emissions related to the transport sector.

We provide consultancy services for businesses and other public transportation agencies to support the transition to electricity and other clean fuels.

Clean alternative fuels

We provide service in developing and implementing clean alternative fuels projects such as compressed natural gas (CNG), biodiesel, electrofuels, and other low–emission technologies.

Carbon Offsetting for Travel

We collaborate with partners to develop carbon offset projects in the transportation sector, allowing companies and individuals to offset their travel emissions.

Cyclic and pedestrian infrastructure

We advocate for and offer advisory services in infrastructure improvements that support sustainable transportation such as bike lanes, pedestrian and EV charging stations.

We provide services in the development of bike-sharing programs and friendly urban planning.

Research and data analysis

We conduct research on local transportation system, patterns, emissions, and environmental impacts.

Our data analysis can be utilized to inform decision making in sustainable transportation infrastructure designing, and design targeted interventions.

Education and awareness initiatives

Education and awareness campaigns

We conduct awareness campaigns, workshops for community, schools, universities, and businesses on topic related to climate change, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.

We participate in conferences, forums, and community events to share knowledge and insights.

We also engage in community outreach programs that involves direct interaction with the local community and perform demonstrations on using clean facilities such as clean cooking stoves and etc.

Waste Management and Circular Economy

As part of the fight against climate change and emissions reduction, we help businesses, individuals, and other organizations create a more sustainable and resource-efficient model of production and consumption where economic growth is decoupled from resource consumption and environmental degradation.

We work to create closed-loop systems where materials are continually recycled and reused, minimizing the need for new resource extraction hence a circular economy.

This involves optimizing resource use throughout the product lifecycle, from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, distribution, use, and disposal, to reduce waste and environmental impact.

We provide advisory services on infrastructure development and systems that facilitate the recycling and proper disposal of materials, as well as educate consumers on responsible waste management practices thus keeping our cities clean.

Waste management activities can contribute to carbon emission reductions and potentially generate carbon credits. We therefore provide services in developing carbon credits from waste management activities that qualify for carbon credits.
